this is a compilation with (almost) every act to have played at a movement shaped like a heart event in 2024.
most of my favorite people are featuring or involved in the making of it.
2024 being the very first year for us in existence, this compilation seems a bit defining. even though i have taken
some measures to avoid defining exactly what movement shaped like a heart is, it feels nice to
look at this tape and be able to say: “okay this is kind of what / who movement shaped like a heart is / are!”
starting out, movement shaped like a heart was just a name that sounded cool to me and i had found myself in a
situation, needing to put a name on the things i were doing - but the shape this has taken was not
what I imagined back then. at first it was cool to say that I had a record label, but now this feels somewhat more
important than me.
the events we have arranged this past year, has come to be an integral core of movement shaped like a heart.
social gatherings to celebrate music that is important and meaningful to us, and when shared, also
found its way to be important and meaningful to others.
maybe in a future text, I’ll try to define / describe more precisely what movement shaped like a heart exactly is -
but at least for me at this moment, it seems to be thriving in this undefined, kind of chaotic state.
